WHY TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES?
A HAPPY WORKER IS A HARD WORKER
Registering your employees for CSDA training courses sends the message that you are committed to their professional growth. This kind of commitment to your employees will make them more committed to you and your business. You are making an investment in their future. In these times of high turnover and competition, you can’t afford not to hold on to competent personnel. Giving them the training they need to be the best can also increase employee morale.
ST PETERSBURG COLLEGE
St. Petersburg College’s Corporate Training Center has partnered with CSDA for all CSDA training programs. For 74 years, St. Petersburg College has been offering a standard of excellence in education as a community college. In 2001, it became Florida’s first community college to be afforded 4-year status and it dropped the “junior” from its name. St. Petersburg College (SPC) now offers a variety of associate degree, certification and baccalaureate degree programs.
The CSDA training classes will be held on the Clearwater Campus through the Building Arts Department. The department offers certificates and degrees to those interested in the building construction industry with such programs as Architectural Design, Building Construction Technology, Design and Drafting, AutoCAD and Continuing Education for Contractors. It is anticipated that more courses will be developed for CSDA members through this partnership.
TRAINING AT YOUR FACILITY
CSDA also offers on-site training by industry professionals at your facility. CSDA will bring our 101 or 201 hands-on operator training right to your door if you have 10 participants or more. This is an excellent way to reduce your training costs and make training more convenient for your employees. Call the CSDA office at 727-577-5004 for more details. Items you will need to provide for program include:
• Classroom facility for 10 students and instructor
• Chair and desk (classroom setup) for all students
• Desk/table for instructor
• Flip chart or whiteboard with markers
• Screen and laptop connections or streaming for AV
• Concrete slab for hands-on portion
• Food and refreshments during the day
We understand that situations arise that may require a change of plans. If you are unable to attend a course for which you are registered, please contact the CSDA office as soon as possible. Substitution of participants is permissible any time prior to the start of a particular course. If no substitutes can be scheduled, CSDA, in order to cover costs associated with processing cancellations, assesses a cancellation fee of $75.00 per course. Cancellations must be requested at least 72 hours before the start of the course.
